Falls in the Workplace
Falls from heights can lead to injuries and deaths. When working over dangerous equipment and machinery, Fall Protection must be provided. The OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) was created to protect working individuals by setting and enforcing standards in the workplace. Workers have a right to a safe and healthful workplace. Employers should make sure that regular training sessions are implemented. Do not always assume that workers completely understand the use of the equipment found in the workplace. Also, safety gear must be provided to use in the workplace like fall protection kits, safety harness and lifeline for falls. It is very important in this business that workers do know how to use the equipment correctly, not doing so, can be a deadly mistake. If every worker knows how to do their job and knows how to use their equipment properly the more likely they are to comply and work safely at height.
